Bill describes life after having a stroke:

“I felt very isolated. I had moved back to Oxford after the failure of a previous marriage expecting to find a lot of people that I had been to school with or had known socially… I tended to go back in to my shell. I had a feeling of loss really, almost like a bereavement – that part of me had died.

“I was fairly resigned to convince myself that being alone didn’t necessarily mean that I was lonely .. Being a driver for Archway gave me more self worth and self belief. I was lost along the way but I met my wife Pamela in 1999 (and we are still together now).”
